Finally. I'll be holding my breath for a Murtha apology....

Um, charges got dropped against two of the seven Marines charged in the Haditha incident. From your link:

Quote:
Five Marines still face charges in the November 19, 2005, shooting of two dozen unarmed men, women and children in Haditha, which prosecutors say came in retaliation for the death of a beloved comrade, Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas, who was cut in half by a roadside bomb.

Now's a bit soon to be holding your breath. If the rest of the Marines have the charges dismissed or are acquitted (and I hope they are), then I agree that there should be a call for Murtha to publicly apologize.

If the rest of the charges are dismissed, Murtha should be congressionally censured and pressured to resign. A senior congressman called these soldiers cold-blooded murderers, said they had committed war crimes and shot civilians who were begging for mercy. An apology doesn't cut it.
